This is my second fire truck with a different twist, This is my own design and creation, An idea came to me to create a valet box themed after a fire truck and what better way to organize belongings then putting them in a fire truck. I made this valet box out of red cedar using maple for the ladder, Walnut and maple for the drawer pulls and Mahogany for the light.
What makes this fire truck valet box so special and unique is that it offers an open tray on top the fire truck bed and six drawers with one hidden drawer which is located inside of the drawer in the cab of the truck, once you pull the drawer out and turn it so you are facing the back of the drawer reveals the hidden drawer. It also is a piggy bank for the young guys and or a coin drop for the older guys, a coin slot has been added to the open bed on top of the truck, coins then fall down into the drawer below, for the drawer pulls I used maple and walnut for the axe, Walnut for the wheels, maple for the ladder, mahogany for the light and Walnut for the rear-view mirror.
It is finished in four coats of gloss Lacquer to give this box a high-gloss appearance.
Dimensions of this box are 12” W x 6” H x 3 1/4” D
Thanks for viewing have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

Very nice Randy. I copied the first one you made for a Fireman friend…wish I had thought of the tray idea…he loved it by the way. You cut the back and front off, cut out the tray, and glue the front back on so you can cut out the drawers?

Blackie, great job as always. I like the idea of a purpose-driven box where you consider what this is going to hold. This should sell because it is fun, useful, and well-crafted. You do great work.
