Folding Laptop Desk

This is a Christmas present for my wife, so don’t tell her, yet. It’s a folding laptop desk made from walnut. The frame is joined with finger joints. The legs fold on a simple screw pivot. The top is attached with homemade clips (I had always bought commercial versions before, but I think I’ll make my own from now on). Finish has become my go to: Danish oil and wax. Dimensions are approx 26” x 17” x 10”.

Thanks for looking.

Cory

Cory,

Very nice gift! The walnut makes it especially lovely and the box joints are a nice added detail. It’s somewhat similar to one I made last year. Thanks for posting.

Nice I really like it. I’m going to have to make one for myself.
