I bought a 7 foot board of 3 inch sycamore from a lumber yard, cleaned the bark off it, planed the top with a portable electric planer and using some ash I had left over for the legs was able to make two live edge coffee tables each about 42 inches by 18 inches. This is the first time I have made live edge furniture and I am delighted with the results.

Yes, I think I am becoming addicted. The tables do look far more impressive than I expected or than the picture shows and the material for both of them came to only $60.
