I made these cornhole boards for my two sons (obviously one Chicago Cubs fan and one Chicago White Sox fan). I used 3/4 ” MDF for the tops and squared off 2×4’s (used a hand held power planer to get crisp corners) for the sides and legs. As Stephen said in his tutorial, the 2×4’s were probably overkill but my sons have 2 boys and 3 boys respectively aged 2 years through 5 years so I expect they will be subjected to more abuse than usual. I borrowed a 6” hole saw to make the holes and highly recommend getting one if you are going to make more than one set of boards. I purchased stickers on line (google “cornhole stickers”) and also purchased the bags (4 blue, 4 red, 4 white and 4 black) on line. After painting the boards using exterior gloss enamel, The stickers were applied followed by 3 coats of Rust-olem Clear Gloss.
