nice long table for grilling. made of treated lumber and glued and screwed.

Hi Ryan,

This looks like a very sturdy table that should start getting a lot of use now that it is getting warmer.

This is a nice project that is also quite useful.

Looks good! I am thinking of “gifting” myself one of these this summer as well. Do you need special wood that is fire-proof, or is it a “cross your fingers” type of thing?

I used treated lumber. On their website, they sell some made of cypress. So far, so good, no fires. I guess being porcelain, the egg’s outside doesn’t get hot enough to pose a danger.

Nice job Ryno.
I have to make one of these in the spring, only difference is that I’ll be pouring a concrete top.
I wonder about your use of treated wood around food prep though. I’d have probably gone with cedar.
