Rocking horse made of beech. No nails or screws. Weighs about 45 pounds and now stands by the stairs in the second floor in case someone decides to break in….let’s just say sometimes a horse is better than a dog…:)

Very cool!!! I made one for my nephew and when I finished I was amazed at how good I felt about how well it turned out. My wife kept telling me that I was nuts to make something so complicated, but she took it back when she saw it. I went with mop head type rope for the mane and tail, but the way you carved yours turned out spectacular. Great rocking horse!!!

This piece caught my wandering eye! Borders on the next step..a carosel (sp?) horse. Had a similar idea a few years ago. Nice dimensioning of the horse body. Kids who would have appreciated it are grown now! Yours will grow into it?
