Took a pen turning class at my local WoodCraft store and this is the result. It is a Wall Street II kit and the wood is wenge.

Looking back on my wood choice, I would NOT choose wenge again. It just doesn’t take a finish well. After sanding we used CA glue to seal the wood and then Myland’s friction wax.

Overall the instructor, Dave was excellent. This was a great experience and it helped me decide if I want a lathe or not. Which I do.

That is just so attractive!
