Cherry & Maple Sleigh Bed with a Danish Oil

I used plans from Wood Magazine issue #135 and modified the size for a king bed. I also modified the feet on the bed from the plans to give it a different, and what i think is a beefier look.

I am fairly new to woodworking, and found this project to be my most difficult yet. This is due to having to cut curved legs and coves in the top rails.

This project is nice because it gives the look of the sleigh bed without any veneering or bending wood.

that is awesome! Can you tell us a little more about how you built it?

Well done.Very nice bed. This type of bed is great for any style of bedroom. If you can find the perfect bedroom furniture as well as the appropriate bed for the house, it will be easier for you to give a bright look to the bedroom.

Have your say...
