This is a sample of the vases I made for x-mas this year. Only difference in the wood in the feature ring, yellowheart or maple.

learned from last year, start early ! Just need to wrap them all now

I haven’t gotten a bug to do any turning. I don’t own a Lathe. When I see work like this, I want to run straight over to Rockler or Wood Craft and start planning. Please stop posting these masterpieces. I don’t have the budget at this time of year but my resolve to stay in budget is weakening.

getting the zig/zag lined up is the hard part & you look like you got that pretty spot on. great vases. (my only little nitpick is the bases theoretically should be smaller than the neck opening. Gives them a lighter look)
