I have made several of these cranes. One suggestion is replace the lazy Susan with a nylon washer it will shore it up considerably. My wife teaches 3-4 yr olds and the kids love it.

Nothin better than homemade toys that actually work along with some imagination. Kids need more of this kind of hands-on stuff.

G’Day Deeman.
Your crane looks great.
I have the plans and my grandson has been asking for a crane but then he does ask for nearly every project in the book… to love them.
How long did it take to build and how difficult was the build please.
Cheers, crowie

Thanks Crowie, I have built several of the construction toys in this series from Wood magazine. My grandson loves them. The crane was pretty easy to make. I didn’t really keep track of my time but I think you could make it in about 6-8 hours. I am disabled and it takes me a long time to get projects completed.
