This was built from a dare…...”bet you can’t build one of those”.......she (the darer will be surprised…..I think)

And – this is no work of art…...but it is functional…....built from a glued block of Oak that my Dad had around since I was kid…....basically a bandsaw box…

Thanks for looking…..

Did you also make the toothpicks??? Lol.

Did you work from a pre-existing plan?

What kind of finish did you use?

What BS blade did you use?

Was the CNC involved in the creation of this?

Did you make the roller, or use dowels?

If dowels, did you make the dowels?

Did you use or have to make any jigs?

What advice would you give to someone who wanted to make one of these?

Were you to make another, what would you do different? The same?

Very ingenious contraption. I could use one of these, except food does not get caught between my TOOTH!!!

Wow, you have been busy.
Looks great.
I need to make one for the cafe.
Randy is obviously bored.
But there are some good questions there…. Did you make the toothpicks on that new CNC?

Nice job and great design.

Mike, I think you should hire Jeff to make one for every table in the cafe…..

Jeff, As your new manager, I’ll only be asking for 15% of your gross…..

BTW, Those stick dispencing boxes are kinda neat too…..

Seriously….no plans involved, except I kind of copied a cheap imported stainless steel version I have on the table…...the cnc only cut the peace sign….....this was built several MONTHS before the cnc arrived. The cnc only arrived 2 days ago. I did not build the dowels or the toothpicks…..but I’m sure I could if I wanted too….....well not the toothpicks….

No jigs were involved or harmed in this build. My advice is to order the cheap imported one. They are like $7 and work better. It took 3 takes with the camera before I caught the toothpick in the holders…..otherwise they shoot like crazy little logs down a mountain…...

BS blade from buyfromwoodworker.com

Finish is BLO and wax…...hope nobody dies.

I disagree, it is a work of art cause that’s the last place I ever thought I’d see a peace sign (which for my entire life I always thought was an icon of a B-52 bomber).
Nice engineering on a fine build, I likey.
