A simple, classic old design.

vertical supports are (finished) 2” x 2”—- 29” high, chamfer w/ a hand plane

horizontals are 24” long
- Top is 2.25” x 3/8”
- arrow holders are 1” x 2”—- clamp together and drill arrow holes on 1.75” centers. Countersink holes.
- Bottom is 1” (actual thickness) x 2.5”—- cut off corners

Posts to hold bows were two sizes of dowels in (exposed) lengths from 2.375” to 2.25”—- add ~.5” for holes. Arrange from 5.875”—5.5” apart.

Chamfer all visually exposed edges. Assemble using dowels or other joints. Finish as desired.

I’d suggest drawing up plans @ scale in advance to check equipment fit. Note This must be mounted more than longest arrow length – distance of top arrow holder support from ceiling to allow for arrow clearance.

Nicely done, did you make any of the bows?

Yes, made 3 of them. From top-to-bottom:

- Bear Archery Little Bear—- bought this for my son, since it was just like the one I had when I was his age
- this was a glued-up stave which broke in tillering
- an all fiberglass bow which my wife still had from when she was young
- hickory-backed hickory flat bow, 20# (at) 28”, left-handed which I made for my daughter
- hickory-backed hickory long bow, 39# (at) 29”, right handed, which I made for myself

Good job on the bow rack. Two of my GSs shoot and this will be a very soon addition to their room wall. Thanks for the idea.
