Euro Deer Mount Plaques

Super quick project…I’m trying to get better about posting my projects on here, some make it, most don’t and by the time I remember to post them, they are too covered in stuff, or being used.

Two plaques I made for a buddy.

Looked around the web at some examples and drew up a pattern. To get the symmetry I only cut out half the pattern, taped it down, traced one half and then carefully folded it over to get the other half.

One on the right is walnut, with a wipe on finish – equal parts poly, BLO and mineral spirits.

One on the left is cedar, still needs to get the first coat of finish.
