Been a while… I moved my shop from SE PA to So Cal. But along the way I picked up a new lathe! Anyway here are a couple more bowls that I made as keepsakes. The woman to whom these will go has an uncle who planted the tree from which these were made. The tree fell victim to a storm. This particular wood was very interesting. Lots of variation throughout. And the wood did not deform in a predictable way – it didnt just go oval but got very wavy.

Aliso Viejo. I don’t recall you asking, so if you did, both of us are on an even playing field with respect to memory issues!
