No resistance gett’n in these drawers. She’s easy. I’ve been looking at this box since building it 6 months ago wondering what to do for knobs and pulls. Finally decided it was time to finish it but guess I got carried away and went a little too far with the images and rings and all.. Should’ve just left it blank with standard knobs.(maybe a rose on the sides). Took me as long to ruin it as it did to build it. Just goes to prove that being clever and having skills and imagination does not make you an artist. I’m glad it’s out of my system. I’ll be sure to gain some style and class on future projects. Built out of cherry. Measures 15”tall x 7”w x 4 ½. Mouth was cut from a piece of white birch and colored with a black felt tip and red sharpie. Comments, advice, puns, critiques all welcome.

The most unusual design in a band saw I’ve ever seen! That is so cool! :)

There is simply nothing I can say without getting in trouble :-)

What a wonderful design on that band saw box, even without the add ons. Very useful. Mind if I copy the design from yours?

like the design which demonstrates your bandsawing skills, well done

guess we need the extreme, every so often, to push the boundaries outwards ?

it’s a major award. Look it says Fra-gee-lay must be Italian.

It is good to let your creativeness go and come up with something different. I like the nipple rings best for the drawer pulls.

I will agree the shape of it is very good… the finish well it’s different. I actually like the pearl necklace the best. nicely thought out.
Nice work.

It’s subtle-reminiscent of something. I can’t quite put my finger on it…

Now that is one trashy box, Jim! You know, we have all been cautioned about concentrating on the job at hand when working with tools, but, Man, you’re s’posed ta concentrate on the tool, not the box.
I never would have thought of this for a motif, and if I had the skills and the guts I would make one just like it.
Problem is, it would probably wind up as an urn for my ashes if Miss Honey Ma’am ever saw it.
Great box! Great post! Thanks!
Have a good’un
