This is a gorgeous bowl, as usual. I like the grain and color of this one.

Thanks for the post.

Another fine job! And since no one else asked, what is at the bottom of the bowl (3rd pic)?

I like this design Trifern. Excellent Job!

Let’s see chili powder in the last bowl…could this be a jelly filled center?

I think I’m getting hungry.

Okay, what’s in the center?

Artistic answer: When you think you have hit rock bottom, you look through the layers and discover that you have not lost all your marbles.

Technical answer: I have not been pleased with the uniform thickness of some of my bowls, especially on the bottom. So in my efforts to get a bottom thickness of 1/4” or less, I forgot I made an extra deep foot. The extra foot depth was required because of the narrow base in comparison to the wide mouth, and the clamping pressure required to keep it from flying off the lathe. Hence, I went too deep and blew out the bottom. I put a marble in the bottom to hide the hole and liked the look and the title “rock bottom.”

Maybe I should have filled it full of jelly and called it “krispy cream.”

Anyway, I hope I don’t bore you all with the multitude of bowl postings. I find it useful for me to go back and view my gallery and see how my techniques and shapes are progressing.

Once again, thank you for all the kind remarks.
