Saw published several works of art that I really liked, so I told myself to try to build one. Since I haven´t band saw, use a manual jigsaw and this first attempt I think it was quite acceptable. It is intended for a Christmas gift. The wood is: Algarrobo, Kiri, Timbo and cedar in that order.

A very neat design. Even more so that you did it with a hand saw. All the woods fit together well.

btw… Welcome to LumberJocks.

I think it is neat. The various selections of wood are great. And all by hand that makes it even better.

Hi, and welcome to LJ’s.
Most of us here are power tool junkies but we do have some that are traditional woodworkers using only hand tools, and we all truley admire their work.
You have created a lovely box and your choice of woods give it a unique look. I hope to see many more of your projects.

Thank you guys. Actually I have few tools and only a drill and a sander are electric. Power tools make us think faster at work and a project will take less time, but … I am a farmer and where I live we have a generator for electric light, so it is not always available. For all this is that I am strongly inclined to hand tools. Woodworking is a aficcion and a therapy, I enjoy it so much however.

VERY impressive that you cut this by hand! That is some beautiful wood. And a really cool shop made clamp!!!
