A pair of book matched natural edge flitches of 6/4 solid cocobolo make the top of this 90×43 table finished with automotive clearcoat. The center void is inset with glass that I sand blasted an ivy leaf design into. The base is made from 1.5” brass tubing and fittings, finished with auto basecoat-clearcoat. The top floats on the base, supported by inverted levelers inset into the underside.

Thanks for looking.

Yeah…. very beautiful table top….. and quite a creative twist with the blasted glass insert.

-- I just got done cutting three boards and all four of them were too short. (true story)

Very interesting, great looking top and very creative on the base. Well done with the insert. I made an outdoor table on here with a granite insert to match our outdoor kitchen. Enjoy , very nice.

You’ve done it pretty well.

Very nice piece. I just purchased some Cocobolo and started to sweat thinking about the cost of the wood in this project. You did avery nice job with it. I would love to see some more shots of the blasted insert.
