Step #1 Disassemble chair from the town dump.
Step #2 At your local lumber store, take note of their chairs selling for $295 each.
Step #3 Build two new chairs for $80, and take the $510 you saved to Rockler!

I’m thinking this was a smart and economical move, I’m assuming you used the parts as templates for the new chair components. Great idea and a beautiful result too.

Excellent – way to go. Love it when things get reused or recycled even though those they just may have been used as patterns.

$295?? Holy cow! They staple them together down here (Calhoun, GA) so cheap, I can’t afford to make them to sell myself. But good on ya’.
