My 12 year old son Cash wanted to make a gift for his mother for Christmas, so we looked around and came up with the door harp from Steve Ramsey’s WWMM.
The wood is all scrap, I think it was some kind of mahogany.
We made some minor changes to Steve’s design. We turned the striker balls into hammers so that they would not get tangled up and we just used a simple hole in the middle.
We had a little trouble with the finish but I don’t think that Mom will notice.
You have to love the enthusiasm on Cash’s face.

These are alot of fun to make with the kids, and the kids learn skills they never knew that they had.
Kudo’s to Steve, I have copied several of his projects.
