My wifes niece decided to get married…some folks just dont listen… anyhow, they were just going to be starting out setting up a household and needed basically everything. It was determined that my contribution to their future home would be a bed. At the time my shop resources were even more limited than they are now (sad I know) so I opted for simple but sturdy. Mitered 2×6’s make up the posts with the 2×4 cross pieces being lag bolted from the inside. May not win any beauty contests but should last a lifetime….lol

I like the look. Should be solid.

Let’s face it for newlyweds, it doesn’t have to be pretty, it just has to be there :-)
