this was my first item to be turned on the lathe other than a pen.
I really like the raised pedestal look on most bowls.
im pretty happy with the results, and i learned a lot.
It was very fun and i hope to do some more projects that involve turning
i think its maple, with a wee bit of spalting on it.
sanded to 320 and finished with beeswax salad bowl finish

Thanks for looking,
Mark

Great looking bowl. I am going to have to break down and buy a lathe.

Nice bowl. If you are like me nobody gets my first bowl.

Nice. In the second picture, it that a scratch on the front?
Monte, price a lathe plus the accessories before you buy. Accsssories will cost more than the lathe. Guess how I know. It is a fun hobby, though.

Nice looking bowl. Hang on to it, it is always nice to look back and see your progression as you make more.
