So, we usually give giftcards to friends and family for Christmas, and the old card holders seemed lame to me. I saw on Woodworking for mere mortals (http://www.woodworkingformeremortals.com/) how to make a bandsaw box, and I had some poplar and walnut around that I wasn’t using. SO , 3 weekends later, done. Sanding was a challnege and I’m not great with the staining but over all it fun project. Kept me off the streets and out of trouble. Please comment and leave any tips.

Now that is such a cool idea. ... As I live in AZ and the rest of the family is in Seattle and Kansas, this will make mailing out much easier … now which gift cards to use …

Nice looking boxes. If it kept you off the streets and in the shop, then it was a win all around.
