As much as i hate ties, I actually think I could like that one. Neat project.

Looks like a walnut knot to me. What kind of wood is Windsor? Anyway I think pdegreyt is a wood nut. :-)
Can’t wait to see the matching shoes.

@stormy, Although I come form a country( not Holland but Belgium) where people make and wear wooden shoes I don’t think they would go well with the tie, even if I knew how to make them.
@ Charles and Mike look at this from a practical point of view this tie never needs a knot tied because it come naturally to the tie you could say it come pre knotted. And I can put this tie on faster than my other ties.
@ MasterSergeant that project that Steve made was really fun for me to do, I get many comments from people when ever I wear it, I do believe they have tie envy, you should really give a it try, you will enjoy it. for this tie I used mahogany and pine, I would like to try to make one of those chevron ties like that one but then in wood http://www.zappos.com/images/z/2/0/3/8/9/2/2038925-1-MULTIVIEW.jpg. who knows
@ Hawaiilad a bow tie, that is a interesting idea, well you bow ties are cool, as Doctor who tells us, I will give that a try
@ Monte Pittman, you know I have been wearing ties for most of my adult life this is the easiest tie that I ever worn, allot of people ask me is it is heavy it really isn’t, and so easy to make here is how you make one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8ooRKmEaWs&list=UUBB7sYb14uBtk8UqSQYc9-w&index=5 go crazy with it, I did and loved it
Have your say...
