This jig was made to make cutting PVC pipe faster. When making marshmallow guns I have to cut three different sizes 6”, 3” and 2”. I base my cuts around the factory markings because I want as little of the markings to show as I can. The jig allows me to set the fence once then butt the pipe up to the particular length notch I need and change the part size anytime without moving the fence. I can cut several 6” parts and when a factory stamp is present I can cut a 2” or 3” segment and never have to move the fence.
I’ve been making these guns for several years and just now figured out a jig. It is such a simple design and only took a few minutes to make I am disappointed in how long it took me to come up with it. Better late than never!

Another good jig

Hi:
That jig will help a lot for cutting different lengths. Every time I make something for one granddaughter I end up making several and needing a jig. Would mine showing us your marshmallow gun. I think the girls and Grandpa would have fun with these guns.
Thank you

Can you post a photo of the actual marshmallow gun you’re making? I’m working on some designs to make a tactical rifle looking one that might even incorporate a PVC piston to compress the air.

Captain Skully,
Just google “marshmallow gun plans” and you’ll see a bunch of pages about building them. I built 5 in about 5 minutes tonight. My next door neighbor has a 12 year old and an 8 year old. They now have a gun each and a bag of marshmallows… I may be in trouble tomorrow.

Here is a link to the Instructables site where I got the plans. http://www.instructables.com/id/Marshmallow-Shooter/
I added a longer mouth piece (6”) and a flash suppressor.
I’ve added a picture of the shooter to the project.
PS. They are really cool if you hook them up to a compressor.
