Ed,
This is a nice enhancement to your landscaping that creates curb appeal. It is a nice use of “scrap” material as well. I enjoy seeing projects like this. It just reinforces the idea that offcuts need to be saved as they are simply another project waiting to happen.

I really like the windmills, looks good in front of your house…... I may be a bit prejudice when it comes to windmills as I’m half rubber boots on my mother’s side.
