That’s sweet! Did you weld the base or bolt it? I’m interested in making a metal base like that and I like the look of this one! I’d love to see a closer view of it.

It was welded together by friend and finished with what is called a blacksmith’s finish.

Is the top solid wood or veneer over substrate?

I have a name for your table… ” The Dopler Effect” Well done. Smart to breadboard the connection to allow movement.
