This has been by far my best looking project so far! Too bad I didn’t charge enough :(. The mantle and fireplace surround was already in place, I just removed the mantle piece and cut it to fit in place between the bookshelves.

Very nice. I’ve been wanting to do this to our fireplace for a while now but the master bedroom backs right up to it so the tv would be too loud at night… Nice work!

What a great looking wall project! I am becoming more and more convinced that painted WW is every bit as nice, or nicer, than traditional varnishes, finishes, etc. Keep up the good work!

What a great job, it looks like it was meant to be there all along.
I agree with H’-Mike that there are many wonderful applications for painted projects, and yours is a great example.
Personally I like the use of the traditional hinges, more in tune with the rest of the building.

Grumpymike (that should be MY name ;) – I like visible hinges MUCH better than concealed ones, they add much more class to a project. Too bad the wife wants them on our built-in entertainment center that I am working on now :(. Thanks for all the praise guys, just wait until I post pictures of my own!
Have your say...
