Talk about bored! I wanted a small project that wouldn’t take all day to finish, so here is what I did last Saturday morning. I spent about 2 hours total. I found a piece of 3/8” round stock laying around the shop and decided to make a mini-Ball peen hammer. I chucked it up in the drill press and went to work with some small files. Cut a Maple handle for the first hammer and Red Oak for the second. A couple of hours later, I could rest. What does one do with such small hammers you ask? I have no idea!

Nice project, which reminds me I have a ball peen hammer that needs a handle, they don’t sell them around here anymore.

I have some of those, in brass, for my jewelry work.
They cost about $20 each.

Looks like nice hammers to adjust my Krenov planes.
