This sign was designed to hang about the door to an office. The oak was very blonde and I was not sure how to finish it. The textured perimeter also made me wonder how much stain would change the simplicity of the design. I opted for the easy route, clear matte finish to protect but not alter.

It does seem very light for oak. Wonderful job on sign. It would have been difficult to get an even stain job on that.

I use vectric V Carve Pro version 5.5. I love it. I always thought I would give aspire a try, but I just always found a way to use 2.5D carving instead of true 3 D.
