This is actually and old project I built about ten years ago,but since I’m new here, and it’s one of the nicer, or at least bigger things I’ve built I figured I show it off. Except for the hinges, there is no hardware or metal fasteners and except for the 2”x2” legs being glued up from 1” stock and the seat planks being glued up to make a wide plank there is no glue. The carcass is held together with slightly offset holes in the mortise and tenons that draw tight when you hammer bamboo barbecue skewers through them.

OK, that is cool! I never thought about adding a back to a blanket chest. That makes it much more inviting as seating.
