I hate knife racks where the knives are inside a groove since eventually the groove breeds a funk so I decided to rethink the rack. It is a simple project, but I used a forstner bit to make holes to size for some round rare earth magnets I had from another project. I inserted the magnets and bonded them with epoxy then veneered the face hiding the magnets. SO now my knives are stuck the the angled board where any leftover moisture can dry and NO FUNK can grow.

I know it is a simple project, but it sure works great.

A novel concept. I like it and so does my wife. Now where did I put those rare earth magnets?

Simple is good. This way you can identify what you want quickly.

It will be loved by every one. My wife ordered me ” This is your next project, Sam.” and I said ” Yes dear.”
So, I am hesitated to thank you for the post. :)
