new shop addition

I am building a addition to my old shop about 3600 sqft i hope its enough. Made it 2 stories built it out of 2×8 walls with 4ply 2×12 band all the way around. The floor system is 14” tji. framed all of it myself except for the 4ply 18”lvl 43’ long holding up the joists.

trusses and second floor wall package 4 days to put together concrete guys next week maybe hopefully moved in with heat and wiring middle january i hope

the red barn is my old shop didnt look that big until i started nailing and glueing wood together

wonderful way to go… many of us our quite envious. Equivalent to 60 X 60? Huge. I’d wear out just walking from one end to the other.

I like your choice of materials… hefty… keep the updates coming…

i would have used 2×12 floor joists but they were twice as much as the tji’s

Very impressive self build mate, you must be satisfied with your labours so far? Just be careful not to overfill it with tools and other toys or you’ll be building an extension for your extension in a couple of years.

3600 sqft addition to your existing shop? I wish I had half of that space. Looks like a lot of new tools needed to fill this space.
