I finished another hand plane the other day, this time I tried a Japanese style pull plane. The body is maple with a rosewood wedge. I got the blade from a cheap bench plane I bought from Harbor Freight that I ground the adjuster slots off of. I carved the mortise out with chisels, I had to work on the bed a bit to get it flat and square, but now it’s giving me good shavings. I champhered the edges except for the sole to make it more comfortable to hold.

Nice job. Let us know how the blade holds up. I have thought about making a new body for my old 22in Auburn “Thistle Brand” plane. Hmm…
