I made this one for my son to protect himself from his sister. I am really beginning to second guess the wisdom of this. LOL

The Flame Sword is made from a chunk of Padauk.

LOL. My wife isn’t thrilled about it. Something about a trip to the ER. LOL. I started these over a year ago and we decided they were still a bit young at that point.

I’d definitely warn the kids against playing too rough. Paduak is pretty but it’s very hard and brittle. I wouldn’t want to be around if it broke.

Nice sword, but I would either blunt that tip more are glue a tennis ball to it! :-)

VERY pretty wood.

This is nice but his sister has the nicer of the two. She has a 2-color inlay and he has NONE! What’s up with that??? LOL

Although it’s flaming with beauty, I wonder if it’s safe to play around with.

It’s very beautiful.

All I am saying is, I know what would happen if it were me and my brothers.

If I didn’t know better, I would think you guys were taking bets on which one of my kids get stitches first. LOL

Love that padauk. I made a paddle from cedar, way back in the ‘60s, for my friend’s mom. Didn’t win any points with my friend and sibs there, I can tell you.

You are a good weapon fabricator. Teach em young, that’s what I say. :)
