My wife has always hated the end table next to our couch from target. So i saw an opportunity for a birthday present. One of my first “fine” woodworking projects. I’m pretty happy with it, although i’m going to build a router sled for upcoming projects. Made from walnut i got for cheap at my lumberyards surplus auction last year. Used the Dowelmax and finished with a coat of Minwax tung oil finish, then 4 coats of wipe on poly. Hope she likes it, otherwise it will sit next to my chair and be my beer table;)

Good to have a back up plan. She should love it though.

Those beefy legs should be able to support a keg , but that might scratch the beautiful top !

I have just got to start working with some Walnut. You have done a great job hear and if I have this piece I would spend so much time waxing and waxing and waxing that I would be afraid I would wear it out! Very nice!
