Great looking job, Bill! Fantastic looking marquetry. I’ve got to try it one of these days.

Wow! You’ve done a fantastic job!! If this is your first attempt, then you’ve got it made!! I love the way you’ve put the black top on with the contrasting flower… very cool. What did you use for the black behind the flower?

I wish I could get my miters that tight. Beautiful box. I like the shading on the edge of the marquerty leaves.

Thanks you all, as far as the top goes Iam not sure what it is. It was in a variety pack of veener I used a grain filler on it. The black reminds me of the Lilly ponds at longwood gardens in PA.

This is a beautiful box. I love the marquetry and the ebony accents compliment the maple well.
Thanks for the post.

That is one classy box.
See you left space for more rings.
You really have done a great job on the marquetry – detail and colour choice are superb.

This is really cool. I like how you made a good-sized box just for rings! You don’t see that very often. I also like the dark keys in the lid miters. Overall it’s a really handsome box and the impressive marquetry tops it off.
