Well done Bob,
I have tried various things to keep my drawer full of assorted hand tools (carving tools, dog-legs, corner chisels, etc.) organized, including magnet strips and small boxes. This approach seems the most foolproof and flexible, this will be my next shop project.
Thanks for the inspiration – great idea!
How wide did you settle for on the inside width of each slot?

Very nicely done. I particularly like the walnut strips. You used to cover the bb edges—really classes it up.

Each slot is 1 1/2” – If I were to redo it, I think I would have made a portion of the slots wider

Thanks Bob,
That’s a good thought, i was actually debating doing a few at 1 1/4”, as I think this would be plenty big for most of the Carving chisels, and maybe only an inch high.
Regards

Very nice! I could only dream of owning that many chisels. Just a bit jealous here…
