I drew my brother-in-law’s name Christmas this year and made this end table for him after he came over a while ago and was quite taken with the end tables I made for myself. This one’s different but is of the same style. Made from White Ash with floating tenons on the top, and I did traditional mortise/tenon for the legs. The top has slate floor tiles from Home Depot and I cut them to size, although one of them was a bit short. I was also working on a project for my wife at the same time and yesterday I ruined a very nice piece of birds eye maple trying to bore a square hole, splitting it from the end. I was pretty pissed yesterday when it happened so I just stopped and came in for dinner. Today, I bought a lathe and re-arranged my shop/garage as this is about all I can handle today, so I’m sitting here on my Mac typing this and drinking a very large homebrew porter for lunch. Thank goodness for spell check.

Have a great day,
