I made this cutting board from cherry that had some nice sapwood in it,some purple heart and some maple. Just finished it today and then threw it and the wife in the truck and headed to the pub for a cold one, took them both in to show them off and the first person that saw the board bought it. I didnt get any offers on the wife, just as well because no one could afford her anyway. ( just kidding baby )

That is a great looking board. Now you might need to get started on a doghouse. lol

Another handsome board.

why am I reminded of a certain punchline

Bill Clinton, carrying a razorback pig down off of Air Force One, salutes the Marine at the base of the stairs and says “Look what I got for my wife Sergeant!”

Marine ” Nice trade, Sir!”

Juat admit it to all of us….she “let” you ride with her. I’ll be honest, showing off my work is the most rewarding part of this hobby….getting pain from time to time is even better.

Wiser I was lucky that a good long time friend gave me that piece of sapwood cherry. He could not remember where he got it but said he had it in his basement for TWENTY years before he gave it to me.

I’m just hoping you buckled in the board for the trip to the pub. The wife can fend for herself…...
