Just documenting this project (cause i KNOW i’ll lose the pictures)
3/4 Peruvian walnut, cut in 1” wide strips, stood on end grain and glued up to make blanks (this gave me a lot of marbling on the project face when cut and sanded
1/8” curly maple slipped in between some of the walnut strips
1/8” curly walnut for top and bottom veneers

Hey Russ, Thanks for the props.
It’s a tablet stand, for Ipads and such…i made one a few weeks ago as a challenge project with a friend. A different friend saw it and wanted one for his brother for Christmas.

I like it. I was thinking Halo Stand, well no need for me to make one as we don’t have a halo here LOL …Nice idea for all those electronics we can’t seem to live without.

Great job.
