Spent the Thanksgiving weekend making these cutting boards for a few friends. Went thru the scrap pile and after gluing up came up with these. Saw the guitar idea while aimlessly surfing the net one night.

The tech info- Mostly oak and walnut . Guitar is 9×12 ish and the cutting board is 7 1/2×10. Four coats of Howards butcher block finish- a concoction of mineral oil, beeswax and other wax. I suspect mineral oil from the drugstore is also fine. I used Titebond 2, although after finishing i notices many of you like #3.

Thanks for looking ;

Eric

I like the guitar boards. The striping looks nice.

Nice work! I’m curious how you get the precise fit of the circle?Router inlay by hand? CNC?

Thanks to all for the nice comments. I used a router inlay collar and bit set and template for the hole.
