Here are the Maple Bedside tables that I built. I used the plan from Wood Magazine Nov 2008. My wife bought me the plan here. I made a few changes. I built one deep drawer instead of two shallow drawers and I made the top a bit smaller. I also used pocket screws instead of mortise and tenon construction. I did this to speed up the building process. I Had to get the tables done before winter set in. This was my first time laminating material for legs. Kind of a pain. Next time I would make a trip to the hardwood dealer for thicker material. The finish is Tried And True Varnish Oil. The tables match my dresser and mirror that I also completed this summer. I found a nice matching bed frame in a local furniture store that I will use as inspiration for my next project. I have to build some other odds and ends to complete my bedroom set. I have really enjoyed getting back in the shop this year. It was a very productive summer by my standards.
