This is the first stave bowl I have tried. It is ash and cherry. I tried to make a ring of cherry on top but part of it didn’t glue flush so I cut it off and finished it without it. I used Doctor’s Woodshop walnut oil (http://www.doctorswoodshop.com/ ) as a finish.

Very nice bowl Ron. Missing the top ring does not take away from its appeal.
I also like the contrast in the woods.

I’m naming this as the jubilant bowl. I just can’t help but be uplifted by its colors.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I can’t wait to try more variations.
