This is the first stave bowl I have tried. It is ash and cherry. I tried to make a ring of cherry on top but part of it didn’t glue flush so I cut it off and finished it without it. I used Doctor’s Woodshop walnut oil (http://www.doctorswoodshop.com/ ) as a finish.

Very nice bowl Ron. Missing the top ring does not take away from its appeal.
I also like the contrast in the woods.
