I made this for a friend of mine’s child, they like dinosaurs and so I laminated a picture onto a piece of 1/2” oak and cut it up using a scroll saw. I roughed out all the pieces on the back first with a pencil, adding in pieces for her name (Lucy) then cut them all out. Made a small mdf base with 1/4” ply edging and painted it all white as well as sealing it with a clear spray on polyurethane.
I just used spray adhesive to put the image onto the wood, I experimented with the heat paper where you print out onto some paper then iron it onto the wood. This didn’t work out so well, glueing it on has some minues, but it ended up looking reasonable. The colours darkened up a lot with the glue and the sealing, so next time I would brighten up the picture before adding it.

Very fun… nice job PF. I’ve thought about projects like that for a while. Thanks for all the details.
