This cigar style pen was turned using Chechen Burl I was going to keep it for myself but sold it about 3 days after i turned it. So far I have turned about a dozen pens for myself but have yet to keep one.

This a very nice pen. I especially like the clip. Where do you get your kits?

I can well understand why these practically fly out the door. This is a beautiful pen. Seeing posts like this make me want to go out and get a lathe for my shop.

Thanks for the post.

I agree the burl does looks great dozer. Every time someone posts some sort of bowl or pen it just makes me want a lathe more and more.

Great pen. Just wondering how much you ended up selling it for?

Really outstanding. That burl was lovely. How did it turn?

I’ve done about 60 pens, and most are in the hands of people at the office. A few commissions where people pick blanks and kits out of the Craft Supplies catalog. The Cigar Pens are always popular, but I love the Atlas pens myself. I’ve done three that are very similar to the Faber Castell pencils and just love writing with them.

Beautiful pen. Keep it up!
