I was hired to build this display cabinet. The lady wanted a large cab to display some Indian artifacts and have some storage on the bottom. It was 7’10” tall by about 42” wide. It’s made of Cherry plywood and solids. I made all of my own moldings for this one. Unfortunately the lady wanted this beautiful cherry stained very dark. I couldn’t talk her out of it so here it is. The last pic doesn’t do it justice but it’s the best one I have once it was done

I’m with you. The original color of the wood was beautiful. If she wanted it so dark, why didn’t she go with Mahogany, Walnut, or Rosewood? Is the front open or is that a solid piece of glass on top? It looks open, with a glass shelf and three lights on top. Is that correct?

There are two large glass doors on the top. They swing out from the center but in this pic I don’t think I had installed them yet

Beautiful cabinet Dusty. I’m with you on the finish. I like to simply clear coat Cherry. Some people just don’t have Vision. Nice build!

Say, Dusty, that’s coming along really nice. Good work.
