Loblolly Mallet (old project)

The biggin’ is made from a loblolly pine that was probably 30 years old when I got it. I made these mallets about 10 years ago, the 2 small pine mallets for my daughters so they could help daddy in the shop but I’ve used them more than they. The big mallet is extra big to compensate for the lighter weight pine. I expected it to fall apart in no time but it has stood the test. This spring I might get around to making some prettier ones, especially once I get my lathe finished.
