Been awhile since I’ve posted a project.

This is my first attempt at a winged bowl. I used aniline dyes for the color using suggestions from trifern’s blog 2 Dye 4. Wood is hard maple.

Very smooth ! By the way are aniline dyes freely available and what form do they come in? They seem to be hard to source in Australia?

Wow, that came out so beautiful. I just want to pick it up and feel it.

I’m just starting out with my first lathe – this makes my head swim! Maybe one day…......
Super job.

I just started earlier this year so I was nervous about it as well. It wasn’t all that hard but it feels like your turning air when you get to the outside edge!
