Today I retired my Jet 1014 mini lathe and upgraded to a new Jet 1642 (with variable speed and reverse). I had to turn a “little something” to get the feel for the new machine and make sure everything is working properly.

nice! I just joined that club and retired my old lathe too. I bought the Nova2024 which was just onsale at Woodcraft. I have alot to learn about turning but i’m having fun doing it. I’m going out to the shop and try turning one of these.
